Yet even now,” declares the Lord, “return to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning; and rend your hearts and not your garments.”

Return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love; and He relents over disaster. Joel 2:12-13

Join us on Wednesday & Sunday evenings at 5:30pm, invite your friends and bring your Bible! You (and the family!) are also invited to join us at 9:30am on Sunday morning for Prayer, Praise & Worship, Sunday School at 10:00am, and the worship service at 11:00am!

GIVING THANKS: Main St. MYF would like to thank the congregation for their response to Souper Bowl Sunday. A total of $257 as well as canned goods was given to help the needy in our area!

PRAYER REQUEST: Keep our youth and college crew in your prayers as exams and spring break rapidly approach. We daily thank God for the many young people in MYF who are serious about getting closer to God and proclaiming the name of Jesus to their generation. Please pray for us as we endeavor to guide our precious young people into a more intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. We need prayer warriors!

LENT: The early church prepared for Easter by rededicating their lives to Christ. It was a time for soul-searching, confession & repentance of sin as the human will surrendered to the Divine. We are asking the youth to fast a specific food treat/social media site/favorite activity each week. Our goal…to fast from the distractions of the world while focusing on Christ during this sacred season. Please prayerfully consider doing the same. We trust that God will richly bless each one undertaking this spiritual endeavor!

Young Methodist Youth: All young people in grades 1st – 5th are invited to join us on Wednesday afternoons from 4:45pm – 5:30pm for a time of fun, fellowship and Bible study! We are having a BLAST together!!!

Looking Ahead: Main Street Movie Night with “God’s Not Dead” in March & Parent’s meeting…check your email and bulletins for details!

Acolytes and Children’s Church volunteers: Please check out the schedule below…Thanks and God Bless!

Love in Christ,

Sheldon & Shelley Bethea/[email protected]

The MYF want to send a huge THANK YOU to Phil & Linda Wallace for allowing us to use their beach house for a Spiritual Life Retreat over MLK weekend. We had an awesome time of fellowship as we shared in a mission opportunity at Bethesda
Home for Single Mothers.

Two weeks later, Sheldon and a few of our older MYF guys enjoyed a great time of bonding and spiritual renewal at the annual UMC Revolution Youth Rally in Columbia!

Everyone Has A Story in Life

A 24-year old boy, seeing out from the train’s widow shouted…

Dad, look – the trees are going behind!”

Dad smiled, and a young couple sitting nearby looked at the 24-year old’s childish behavior with pity; suddenly he again exclaimed…

Dad, look – the clouds are running with us!”

The couple couldn’t resist and said to the old man…”Why don’t you take
your son to a good doctor?”

The old man smiled and said, “I did, and we are just coming from the hospital. My son was blind from birth; he just got his eyes today.”

Every single person on the planet has a story.

Don’t judge people before you truly know them. The truth might surprise you…think before you say something!
