World Day of Prayer for Peace – March 4, 2016

Published by BP on

On this day each year, Christian women, men and children of many cultures, traditions, and races—in over 170 countries around the world—unite in prayer.

This year’s program is written by the women of Cuba, and the theme is “Receive Children, Receive Me”.

This year’s logo was created by the women of Ireland.  The symbols—a circle, Celtic cross, arrows, and persons kneeling in prayer simultaneously indicate unity and diversity.

The women of Main Street UMC will host this year’s World Day of Prayer and Peace:

Friday, March 4, 2016  – 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

We will not have a formal worship service, but you are invited to come into our sanctuary and pray during this time.
