Musically Speaking – June 2018

VMusic Notes from Robin:

June, the 6th month of 2018, has arrived – bringing with it hot weather and summer vacation. The Charles Wesley Choir, The Sarah Allen Handbell Choir, The Junior Handbell Choir, and The Youth Praise Choir are taking a well-deserved break from Wednesday rehearsals. Regular rehearsals will resume in September. Please watch the weekly bulletins and August newsletter for details.

I especially want to thank Lori Altman, Emma Altman, and Shelley Bethea—as well as the singers in the Youth Praise Choir—for the Mother’s Day Program. Congratulations on a job well done!

I have some beautiful music planned for the worship services during June featuring The Charles Wesley Choir and soloists.

I will be attending Music and Worship Arts Week at Lake Junaluska from Sunday, June 24 through Friday, June 29. This event is sponsored by The Fellowship of United Methodists in Music and Worship Arts. I am looking forward to seeing and hearing the new music published and also experiencing the worship services.
