Music Notes from Robin

December has arrived, and Main Street will be celebrating the seasons of Advent and Christmastide. The morning worship services will include beautiful music …instrumental and vocal…featuring soloists, The Charles Wesley Choir; The Sarah Allen Handbell Choir, and The Junior Handbell Choir and Praise Choir.

Special services in December include the Annual Service of Lessons and Carols on Sunday, December 16, at 7:00 p.m. with The Sarah Allen Handbell Choir, The Charles Wesley Choir, and guest singers and instrumentalists. This service is entitled “Can You See The Star?”, and it tells the story of Christmas through scripture readings and carols. Gerry Berry will serve as the narrator. Musical selections include pieces by Joseph M. Martin, Jay Althouse, Camp Kirkland, and Victor C. Johnson. Anthems include “When Will He Come?”, “The Promise Is Near”, “Once Upon A Christmas Night”, “Sing For Christ Is Born”, “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing”, “Songs of Bethlehem”, “Can You See The Star?”, “Listen Children, Hear the Angels Sing”.

On Monday, December 24, Main Street will have a traditional Christmas Eve
Candlelight Service at 7:00 p.m. Make plans now to be a part of Christmas at our church.

Merry Christmas and the Happiest of New Years!
