Musical Notes – October 2016
Can you believe that October has arrived? This month will have World Wide Communion Sunday on the 2nd and Laity Sunday on the 16th. I am pleased to report that The Charles Wesley Choir, The Sarah Allen Handbell Choir, and the Junior Handbell Choir have resumed weekly rehearsals and are now preparing music for our worship services.
On October 16, Laity Sunday, our Music Ministry will be recognized, along with the musicians who give so graciously of their time and talents. Special music will be presented on this Sunday.
Looking ahead to November and December, please note that the All Saints’ Service will be held on Sunday, November 2; and the annual Service of Lessons and Carols will be held on Sunday evening, December 18.
Main Street will be filled with music these final three months of 2016. Please keep the church, the choirs, and the musicians in your prayers.

JOY CLUB:
The Joy Club will hold its next luncheon meeting on Tuesday, October 11, at 12:00 noon in the Fellowship Hall. A special program entitled “Sunday Traditions That Make Us Wish We Were Kids Again” will be presented. Our lunch that day will also be a “Sunday Dinner”. Please come and enjoy the food and fellowship.
