Musical Notes – May 2017

Published by BP on

Can you believe that the month of May has arrived, and that Spring is here? The season of Lent and the celebration of Easter has come and gone in yet another year. I want to thank all of the musicians for their diligence in rehearsals for, and attendance at, the Passion Festival, Maundy Thursday Service, and Easter Sunday Service.

Congratulations on a job well done! I could not be more pleased and happy. I also want to thank the members of our congregation for their support and positive responses to the music.

The music planned for the month of May will hopefully be inspiring as well. The Junior Handbell Choir will be playing at the morning worship service on Sunday, May 21. The Sarah Allen Handbell Choir will also be playing this month, and The Charles Wesley Choir is preparing some beautiful new anthems too. Mother’s Day and Graduate Sunday will be observed.

The choirs will be taking a well-deserved break from weekly rehearsals this summer. Please watch your bulletins and the June newsletter for details.

As always, thank you for the privilege of serving our beautiful Main Street United Methodist Church.

 Godspeed,

Robin
