Musical Notes From Robin – November 2019

Published by BP on

November, cooler weather, and the final two months of 2019 have arrived. Can you believe that the second decade of the 21st century will soon be completed? Thank you, Lord, for all your blessings!

The month of November will be an eventful month at Main Street UMC.

Sunday, November 3, will be All Saints’ Sunday. Musical selections on this Sunday will include “Peace I Give To You” by Craig Courtney; “Epilogue of Praise” by Joseph M. Martin; and the traditional arrangement of “When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder” written by James Black and arranged by Dick Bolks. Thanksgiving Sunday will be November 24, and Veterans’ Day music will be presented on Sunday, November 10.

The Junior Handbell Choir, The Sarah Allen Handbell Choir, and The Charles Wesley Choir are all rehearsing for the Advent and Christmas Seasons. Please mark your calendar now for the Annual Service of Lessons and Carols where Joseph M. Martin’s new cantata “And There Was Light” will be presented at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 15, in the Sanctuary.

As always, thank you for the privilege of serving Main Street United Methodist Church.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Robin
